Amore's Story...
Amore’ gets her exotic name meaning “love” because she is just a furry package of love that she rewards to those she learns to trust. She is truly beautiful, like her twin Amita. They both have unique brown mackerel tabby markings, big eyes, & cute ear tufts. Amore’ is another of our special kitties that were rescued from a well-intentioned, but very overcrowded home. She was probably born in Spring of 2015. She doesn’t seem much interested in toys, but loves being stroked & talked to. She enjoys having her lovely fur brushed. Amore’ is good with other cats & actually tends to defer to smaller cats. We are finding that most of these cats do better with a cat companion. She would be frightened of dogs & probably of small children or a high energy, noisy household. In a calm setting with a little time, Amore’ will certainly reward her new owner with loyalty & all the love anyone could ask of a kitty. She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, & tested for FeLV & FIV. To meet this beauty, call 540/586-6100 or go to

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amore, a Bedford Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
