My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MitchW, aka, Mitch was born on April 8th, 2016. He is a very handsome domestic short haired kitten, orange in color. Mitch came to me, his foster mother on 5/24/16. He and his siblings, AnnMarie and Oscar, were all a little apprehensive when they arrived. With lots of play and treats they have all blossomed into wonderful sweet playful kittens.

Mitch loves playing with a feline toy called “Da Bird.” He is very fond of plain baked boneless skinless chicken breasts. I don’t give him too much, but it’s definitely a gateway for him to become your new best friend. He likes to climb up my back, so I have to keep his nails trimmed! He also follows me around and is comfortable being picked up for a cuddle. He often sits outside my family’s bathroom if it is occupied and waits for the safe return of one of us. I wonder if he is afraid this mystery room has swallowed someone up! (As a foster mom, I keep our bathrooms closed. Our cats tend to think a bathroom is actually a pool made just for cats!)

Mitch is fully litter trained. He is used to pellet litter, but should do well with the kitten litter of your choice. His diet is currently Purina Pro Plan dry food for kittens and a small amount daily of Fancy Feast Pate wet kitten food. Mitch is very comfortable with other kittens and adult cats and my 3 small to medium sized dogs. He’s not playing tennis or anything with my dogs, but he gets along with them nicely. There is no hissing or hiding when they are around him.

Mitch would do best in a home with a buddy. The best choice would be one of his siblings, or another kitten. He should be just fine though if there is another kitty in your home for him to be friends with.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
