Meet Venezia (and really go heavy on your Italian accent with her name.) She's brand new to DREAM and is named after a beautiful Italian city that is as demure yet refined as she is. Venezia is ~3 years old & weights ~8.5 lbs. She is very shy at first, but eagerly wants to trust. She is learning to enjoy all the finest things in life and is quickly settling in at her new foster home. We will update her profile once we get to know her personality a little bit more. Currently, she is recovering from her spay and dental. Venezia needs a quiet home with no young children and other friendly dogs that will continue to boost her confidence.

If you are interested in adopting Venezia, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Venezia 's adoption fee is $450. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Venezia will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
