My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Siena is a 10 lb. bundle of love. She is 5 years young and has been a perfect mama to her pup. Her pup has been adopted and now it is Siena's turn to go to her forever home.

She is housebroken and crate trained. She lives to snuggle and loves her stuffed animals. She especially likes to sleep with her yellow stuffed sheep.

She is a bit shy at first but quickly warms up to everyone, children included. She enjoys sunning, belly rubs and ear scratches.

She likes walking and can be a bit overwhelmed about it all at first. When she senses there is not any danger she will walk you!

She is healthy except for those pesky heartworms. Her case is mild and will require medication for a period of time. DREAM will supply all the medication and dosing schedule upon adoption.

Please consider giving this deserving mama her forever home . She has lot's of love to give and will keep your lap full and your heart happy!

If you are interested in adopting Siena, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Siena 's adoption fee is $400.00. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Siena will go to her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
