Birdie's Story...
My name is Birdie! I am fostered in Huntsville, AL. I will be ready for adoption after June 27, but if you are local, you can ask about our foster-to-adopt program! I am a curious little girl who plays hard, keeps up with the boys, and loves to snuggle with my humans! I love so many different kinds of toys, and I can't even list them all, and I love my siblings Billy Bob and Conor who are available, too! I am felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped! My adoption fee is $75. Fill out an application for me at www.forrescue.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Birdie, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
