My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Daisy! I am a dainty little 8-week-old, female kitten. But, don’t let my tiny stature fool you; I’m a pretty brave little girl. I like to play stalk and chase my foster brother, even though he’s bigger than me and really rough-and-tumble. I met two doggies and wasn’t scared at all. I just wanted to cuddle with them, and they let me. Super excited about that. I enjoy playing with toys, too. I run and pounce on them. I am also litterbox trained. I came to the Rescue from St Clair County animal control - no one played with me or gave me attention and affection at that shelter, so I'm just now learning that it's OK to be picked up and held. I will come to you for snuggles and pets though. I especially like to curl up and burrow in the crook of an arm or a neck. It's warm, safe and soft there. So, with a little patience and trust-building, I will eventually ask for you to pick me up. I am more of a medium energy kitty. I have a laid back, mellow side, but I also love to play and have fun! I would love a forever home where there is another kitty or two for companionship. If you have the time and patience in your heart and home, please give me a chance. If you would like the pleasure of meeting me, please apply today! Adoption fee: $100. Adopt a pair: $150. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 60 days of free pet insurance.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
