If you're looking hyper please look elsewhere because Rudy is an "old soul" who has mastered the art of enjoying life. He's that all-around great guy who LOVES people and gets along great with other dogs: affectionate without being slobbery, friendly without being jumpy, and playful without being hyper. Rudy is a big teddy bear -- he melts when you pet him and never wants you to stop. (He'll even nudge your hand if you do stop to let you know he wants more.) He'd be great with any family, young or old, with other dogs or where he'll get all the attention to himself. He was a stray found wandering in Arkansas, and never claimed, and he's one of the most handsome, well-behaved boys we've seen, which makes it all the more baffling how someone could just let him go. Rudy has been so patient with the super-annoying puppies at his foster house who think he's the coolest big "brother" ever . . . and who think pestering him is the best game! He's tolerant, calm, easy-going, none of the hyper energy that is often associated with Labs. He loves to sit outside and just look around or better yet, have someone sit next to him and just listen to the birds. He pays attention so well you might think he actually understands English. His foster mom told us about the time that Rudy saw a rabbit while on a leash walk and she said No and he lost all desire to chase it; she caught him digging for a critter in the yard, and she told him No and he never went to dig again. He's just that smart and focused. Rudy is between 3 - 4 years old, he weighs about 65 pounds and he's 100% healthy. He was also heartworm positive but we've cured him of that. If you have room in your heart for this handsome gentle teddy bear of a boy, please visit www.pinkshelter.org for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting, microchip and neuter included in his $350 adoption fee. Transport fee is additional $150. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE
