Blackie
Born 2014 -male Black DSH
Blackie is about two years old. He appeared in the foster mom's yard and was living under their deck. I guess if you have to be found, a foster is the perfect place to land. For the time he lived under the deck, he was given oral flea and heartworm medication to keep him healthy. His foster family was finally able to bring him in the house in August, 2015. Because the foster lives in the country, they had seen coyotes near the house, and Blackie seemed worried about something in the yard in the dark.
Blackie blossomed inside. He was just so happy to be comfortable with plenty of beds and toys and just looking out the window was enough for him. He is such a love. He is friendly, gentle, affectionate. He flops on the rug and rolls from side to side when he isn't sitting on your lap nuzzling with you. He is a total lap cat.
When he lived outside, he always came when he was called. He would gallop up to you, tail up, so happy to see you for special treats. Now that he is indoors, he still comes when called.
He likes other cats and has made friends with the resident cats. He plays with them very politely. His favorite toy is a big stuffed rat.
He is very healthy, FeLV & FIV & Heartworm negative. All blood and urine screening is normal. He is litter box perfect and loves to scratch on his scratching posts. He is relaxed and accepting of regular nail trims as well.
You will fall in love with this sweet boy. He wants to be an indoor only kitty with good veterinary health care in a loving forever home. Don't know how he is with dogs.
He is fostered in the Davis, CA area.
