My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The story of Dylan is a sadly common one. We've been told that he had been the beloved companion of a very elderly couple who could no longer care for him. Dylan is 6 months old, weighs 10 lbs (anticipated to be approximately 16 lbs when full grown) and is a fluffy and sweet best friend.

As Dylan's guardians got older, the realization came that they could no longer care for this young pup who had his whole life ahead of him. Our Texas rescuer was contacted in hopes of helping Dylan find a forever family where he would be nurtured and loved. Sad and tearful goodbyes were said and Dylan was on his way for a full physical (absolutely healthy!) and to a foster home to be loved, given belly rubs and taught respectful house skills. He settled in perfectly and is reported to have the greatest personality and is a lovebug to all who meet him.

We're searching for a very loving and gentle family for Dylan. It seems that active retirees or a family with gentle dog-loving children would be perfect for this devoted lap dog and very loyal companion. If given the time and opportunity, Dylan will be the most bonded and loving family member anyone could imagine. He would be overjoyed with leisurely walks and hikes with his favorite people as he greets the other walkers with a wag and a smile. Dylan is very portable..he's be a great traveler by car or under the seat on a plane. He's very easy to take along just about anywhere...he's so pleasant and very happy and positive. Once Dylan knows that he's at his forever home, all his dreams will come true.

Puppy kindergarten follow by positive reinforcement obedience training would be a great opportunity for this pup. Dylan is a blank slate just waiting for positive and loving input to be a true best friend who behaves appropriately in virtually every situation.

We know that anyone who is searching for a loyal lap dog who will return love their love a million times over will fall in love with our beautiful Dylan. He would also be a best friend to another gentle canine companion(s). He loves his relationships with other dogs and enjoys playing and then lying in the sun together for a snooze.

Dylan is either a non-shedding or a lightly shedding guy and will therefore require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition (a salmon oil supplement would be perfect) to keep his coat healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free.

Dylan will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 6/24/16. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and engaging guy who will bring so much love and companionship to his lucky forever family.
