Hello, my name is Stubby. I am a young, 2-year-old, spayed female, shorthaired, dark tortie cat who is looking for a forever home. I am a gorgeous girl with dark tortoiseshell markings and sparkling gold eyes. I am quiet, affectionate and sweet-natured. I enjoy being petted and scratched behind the ears. It's the key to my heart. Pet me and I will love you for life. Begin to pet me and I'll push my head further into your hand as you pet me, kneading and purring away. I would enjoy a nice warm lap to snuggle on and someone to share affection and attention with. I will do best in a calm, quieter home. I'm not used to a lot of noise and chaos. From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates for 2016: September 3, September 17, October 1, October 15, November 5, November 19, December 3 and December 17.
Sunday, September 25: Adoption Event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From noon to 4 p.m. on the fourth Sunday each month, come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Event dates for 2016: September 25, October 23, November 27 and December 18.
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
