Honeysuckle&Dahlia's Story...
Look at these beautiful sisters! Orange cats are usually male but here we have two sweet girls. When they were just a few weeks old their 'owner' moved and left them locked in a closet with their mom and siblings. Thankfully they were found in time and brought to HART. Luckily they all survived!!! We were surprised to find out that we had two female orange kitties in the litter and they are almost identical. They are the best of friends and would love to find a home together. Due to their early life they are a bit shy at first. They need a little time to become comfortable before you get to see how amazing they really are. Once they open up they are very sweet and love being with you and petted. They are playful and fun and rely on each other for security and confidence. They are find with other cats and children, dogs may scare them and would need time to adjust.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honeysuckle&Dahlia, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
