Bamboo's Story...
MEET BAMBOO
Bamboo is soooo cuddly & sweet, purring as soon as he sees his person. He is a fluffy long-haired kitten born in early April, 2016. He plays gently with his brother & sister & seems to love everyone. He would be a wonderful addition to any family. Bamboo has been dewormed, vaccinated as appropriate for his age, & tested for Feline Leukemia & Feline Immunodeficiency virus. He will be neutered when he is a little larger. Until he is neutered he would need to be adopted in Bedford County or adjacent counties. To meet this lover boy, call 540-586-6100 or go to www.bhsva.org/adoptions to submit an Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bamboo, a Bedford Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
