My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Three score and 11 days ago a beagle was brought forth, upon this continent, a new puppy, conceived in passion and dedicated to the proposition that "all beagles are created equal" (but this beagle is more equal than others). Now we are engaged in a great increase of homeless beagles, testing whether this beagle, or any beagle so conceived and so dedicated, can be adopted.
Hi! My name is Lil' Lincoln. My career is just starting. You see I'm a puppy. I know I look mature for my age but I'm only 11 weeks old. You know, I'm very intelligent. I bet you didn't know that score means 20 of anything, not just years. I'm not quite house trained yet, but I'm getting there. Playing and snuggling are my favorite pastimes. I love playing with balls, stuffed toys, and squeaky toys. I play well with others: canines, felines, and humans. Let's just face it; I'm a loveable scamp that gets along with everyone. And with a name like Lincoln, you know I'll grow up to be the greatest beagle ever!

P.S. I don't like going to the theater.

From Lil' Lincoln's Foster Parents:
Lil' Lincoln is a pleasure to foster. He is very sweet and follows us around everywhere. He is almost house trained; he knows he's supposed to do his business outside but doesn't know how to signal that he needs to go outside. And with a puppy sided bladder, the need to "go" is immediate. He tends to chew, as all puppies will. Lil' Lincoln doesn't bark very much and he is a good listener. He should be very easy to train, as he wants to please. All told, Lil' Lincoln is a gem.

Please read our Standards for Adoption, the Beagle Camp Diaries and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog who will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
