Gimli's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Gimli's Story...
Gimli is currently living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.

Gimli had been stuck in a shelter getting passed by and overlooked by every person and family walking past his kennel for ...the last YEAR of his life. Thankfully he was pulled from the shelter and is living in a foster home where he is able to receive so much love and attention. Gimli is good with other dogs, cats, and kids!

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gimli, a Fort Atkinson Dachshund/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle dog from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
