This gorgeous girl is Laney, a 4 year old border collie mix that was turned in by her family. They obtained her as a puppy from another shelter and said that recently Laney had become aggressive with animals and people for no reason. Laney was a scared and nervous wreck when she arrived. She had no appetite and wanted little to do with people. Our kennel supervisor and staff began working with Laney to get her over her many fears and found out so many wonderful things about this loving, affectionate dog. She has been in the foster care of our kennel supervisor who discovered that Laney bonds very quickly to people that she trusts and that treat her with kindness. Laney is an absolute mush that sticks to you like glue and lives just to be with you. There is no one more lovable or loyal than Laney. She is well behaved, mellow, and perfectly content to sprawl out on a couch next to you while resting her head in your lap. She has a spunky and playful side too and once she trusts you, she will let you handle her food, toys, and herself with no issue whatsoever. Laney does have quirks though, including not liking other animals much. She must be an only pet. She will also need a home with no children under 12. She will need for a serious adopter to come in several times for Laney to get to know and trust you, then you'll see the lovable Laney that we all see.
