Hello everyone! They call me Naughty but really I’m not. I am very NICE! My foster mom and dad say I am sweet and adorable. I LOVE people and I love my foster sister Unity. She is my best buddy and pal. Since we got here to freedom I have been learning lots of new stuff. Who knew there was so very much to know and do!?
Foster Mom here: Naughty is a little slip of a Cairn girl. She has some Cairn spirit that will only grow with gusto as she is loved and taught. She is very sweet and affectionate with humans. When you pick her up she clings to you like a gecko. When she first arrived she was shy, but now she comes to us for hugs and kisses and if you aren't able or ready to pick her up at that moment, she will lick your leg and gently put her front paws on you and ask politely to be lifted. She loves being brushed, and walks pretty well on a leash. She is working on her potty training, and makes progress every day. She stays in her crate at night without a sound, and keeps it clean and dry. Some loud noises still startle her but once she sees we are calm, she goes about her business as if the noise didn't happen. She has a lovely red coat and is going to be a beautiful grown up Cairn some day. She plays with toys but prefers to play with another dog. I fear she might languish if she were adopted as an only dog. She absolutely LOVES to play chase with the resident 11 month old boy Cairn here. She adores Unity, the little Cairn girl she came in with, and would relish the thought of going to a forever home with her, or a home with another Cairn that would enjoy playing with her. Naughty is very happy and healthy, is up to date on all her shots and is heartworm negative. This one has the eyes of a fawn that say - 'take me home to be your puppy, pleeeeeease!'
