Hi beagle friends! My name is Captain and I am a 1 ½ yr. old, 20 lb. beagle boy that is looking for a new place to live. My previous owner recently surrendered me to a PABR foster home in South Carolina; I think he felt that I deserved more love and attention than he could give me. I wasn’t in my foster home long before making the 2-day trek up to New Jersey. I arrived in Rescue on 7-9-16 and spent a few hours at Petsmart, hoping my new family would come along. I was pretty tired from the trip and spent most of the time sleeping on a doggie bed and hanging out with the volunteers, so I’m not really sure who I met that day! If I am still available for adoption by the time the next Petsmart Saturday rolls around, you can be sure that I will more actively pursue my new owner!
The people in Rescue say that I am a great boy! I am a little shy at first, but I warm up very nicely. I am calm and sweet, and I LOVE to be loved! I will cuddle with you and soak up your kindness! Belly rubs are the best, and they definitely make me happy! I think I can make YOU very happy, especially when I snuggle up to you!
