Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR welcomes Gypsy Girl into the safety of the rescue!!!
My owners turned me outside and moved so I had nowhere to go and no one to love me or care for me. After being turned out on my own, I was picked up as a stray for the second time in a 6 month period and my owner did not want me anymore so I sat in a high kill shelter and ended up on the rescue list. Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue stepped in and saved me from being killed. I have been in my foster home since May 4, 2016. I love my foster family, but I really want to have my very own family to love and care for me.
A little more about Gypsy Girl:
Female German Shepherd mix, spayed, 2 years old, black & tan with a white patch on chest
Weight: 65 pounds
Housebroken and Crate Trained: has free roam of house and has never had an accident in the house and has never messed with/chewed on/tore up anything inside or outside the house (only plays with her toys and chews on bones)
Kids: absolutely loves foster family’s grandchildren (ages 4 & 7), very gentle with them when playing, loves to give kisses when they rub her belly
Cats: tolerates inside/outside cat in the foster home
Dogs: gets alone very well with and plays with foster family’s 6 year old, neutered, 85 pound, male black lab. Got along well with and played with 1 year old, 30 pound, female border collie mix that was a foster dog in the home for 2 weeks. Got along well with 14 year old, spayed, 65 pound, female pointer mix that was a visiting in the home for 1 week.
Favorite Toys: rope toys, Kong, bones (knuckle, center, femur). Absolutely loves to chew on bones and can do this for hours.
Water: LOVES to lay in and play in the baby pool full of water in the backyard
Riding in Car/SUV/Truck: jumps right into the vehicle and lays down during the ride
Other: knows “sit”, lays down so foster mom can trim her nails, loves to give kisses. Very loving and playful girl who really wants to have a family of her own.
