Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This hound mix Hoku (formerly Jack) is in need of a foster or new home. He was adopted from the Humboldt County Animal Shelter last February but his family's circumstances changed and they are not able to give him the attention and training that would allow him to be the best that he can be. He is good with other dogs and children, but too excited about cats. He needs a confident handler who will get him out in the world a bit and help him to understand his boundaries. He came on our Saturday morning pack walk and was very good around all the people and new dogs. We would love to get him into a foster or adoptive home so that we could have a space for one of the other dogs that really needs to leave the shelter to be saved! Does anyone have room in their home and heart for this good boy? Please contact us if you would be interested in meeting Hoku for adoption or fostering.
