Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID
Shelby the Yorkshire Terrier is looking for a new home after her owner fell on hard times and could not keep her so wanting what was best for Shelby she turned her over to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue. She is an unusual parti-colored Yorkie, with mixed white, champagne, and gray fur, and very pretty both in looks and temperament. Shelby is approaching 7-years-old and weighs in at about 14 pounds. She is a very quiet, friendly, and lovable soul, wanting to be by her person all the time.
She likes to sleep right next to her person, with her head often on their shoulder, but will sleep in a crate without complaint. Shelby is house trained, uses a dog door, and generally comes when called. She walks well on the leash, and likes to ride in the car although she wants to get out when you do! We are told she likes to swim too, so a shallow back-yard wading pool might be fun for her.
Shelby is good with other dogs. She runs with the other dogs in her foster home to bark at and chase the squirrels and birds, so she may not a great cat companion. She would do best with at least one other doggie buddy in her new home. She will bark when someone comes to the door, but then greets them nicely when they are allowed in the house. Her former owner tells us she is not good with small children.
This pretty little girl can be shy in chaotic situations and become stressed; due to this she will require a quiet single or couple and no children, where she will gets lots of attention and walks.
As a Yorkshire Terrier, Shelby has a long coat that will get matted if not brushed and trimmed regularly. A professional grooming every couple of months would be best.
Shelby is spayed, microchipped, and has all her shots. Fuzzy Pawz Rescue also had a dental done for her so her teeth are in tip-top condition.
If are you looking for the love of your life and think Shelby might be it then the first step is to complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/
