Toffee's Story...
Meet Toffee. Toffee was surrendered to HART when her owner went to hospice. Her records say she is a Pomeranian mix, but she weighs 40 lbs.so she is mixed with something bigger. We think Cute CORGI. Toffee is 6 years old, completely house trained and has great house manners. She has beautiful, silky blonde fur and is very soft. She loves her toys, throwing them in the air and then playing with them.

Toffee has been diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy. This is a disease the progresses slowly, but will eventually leave her blind. She sees fine right now, just a little bit of trouble in the dark. She doesn’t let this slow her down. She runs and plays with other dogs in her foster home, but prefers to cuddle with her humans.

Do you have room in your heart for this very special dog?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toffee, a Cincinnati Pomeranian/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Corgi for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Pomeranian/Corgi dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Corgi breeders who help with Pomeranian/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
