Xena's Story...
Meet Xena. This baby was *riddled* with hookworms--one of the worst cases we have seen. Her gums were pale and she was barely eating, so we were worried it may be parvo. But, thank goodness, she was negative! This cutie patootie has not had the best start to life, but that is all behind her. She's getting rid of those pesky worms and on schedule to gain some weight, but she is looking for her forever home. Is that with you? www.mylongwayhome.org/adoptables

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xena, a College Station Husky/Siberian Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Siberian Husky for sale in College Station, or seeking a Husky/Siberian Husky puppy from a breeder in College Station.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in College Station already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a College Station breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Siberian Husky breeders who help with Husky/Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in College Station paves the way for another one to be saved.
