My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Herbie. I am a sweet, loving boy. I am approximately 5-7 years old and about 33lbs. My foster parents really don’t know much about me because I was found as a stray. I must have been lost for a while because I was covered in fleas and ticks, and consequently I tested positive for Lyme disease. I have completed my course of medication and am doing fine. I will need to be checked a couple of times a year just as precaution. I also have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, but as long as I take my daily pill I am good to go.

I get along well with dogs, cats and of course humans. I would love to have a home with other pets but if I happen to be the only dog, I won’t mind having all the attention to myself!

My dream home will have a fenced yard, but as long as I get a couple of walks a day I will be happy. By the way, I absolutely love my walks. I get so excited when you pull out my leash! Otherwise, I'm your everyday couch potato that loves individual attention and follow you wherever you go, and that includes going in the car. I ride well in the car and can be your perfect travel companion.

My foster mom is training me to like a crate. I am not very thrilled about it but I do well in it for short periods of time as long as I have my KONG. I am also sort of yappy and my foster mom thinks I am adorable when I lift my head and do my beagle AROOOOOOO! So I might not do well in an apartment or condo.

My foster mom is also helping me with my potty training skills. I am starting to get the hang of it and I am happy to report that I am doing better and better every day.

So if you are looking for a sweet, adorable, regal beagle that will love you unconditionally and follow your every move, look no more. Contact Midwest BREW and ask about me. The name is Herbie and I’ll be waiting for you!
