Dory & Pixar (Bonded Pair)'s Story...
"Dory & Pixar" are adorable 6-week old female kittens who were brought to the HSOV on June 20, 2016 after they were found in Whipple, Ohio. These cute girls are surely sisters, and they are very bonded with each other. Both of them have brown tabby short smooth coats and beautiful kitten faces with innocent, hopeful eyes. At first glance they appear to be identical twins, but they are actually very easy to tell apart. "Dory" has a long tail. "Pixar" has a kink in her tail (and may be broken) :( "Dory & Pixar" are happy, playful kittens who are very socialized. They weigh just 1.4 lbs., so they are available only for rescue/foster at the present time since they are not yet old enough to be spayed. Rescues may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net) if you can help these little cuties. We can usually help with transportation and can also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dory & Pixar (Bonded Pair), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
