My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boone the beautiful boxer is about 7 years old and this sweetheart must have had a pretty shabby life before coming to us. Boone was picked up by our Newark facility as a stray and when he was transferred to us, we were saddened to see the condition that someone allowed him to get in. Poor Boone was skin and bones, had fly-bitten ears, and was suffering with pneumonia. After spending several weeks under medical treatment and getting lots of good care, Boone is like a whole new man! He is plump, healthy, and so happy to be feeling good again. Boone gets his little nub of a tail wiggling furiously when he sees you coming to take him for a walk. It only takes a minute of him giving you the sniff-test to decide that you're ok, then he loves you forever. Boone is very well behaved and gentle, and he is happy to make new friends. Just because he's a little gray in the face doesn't mean that Boone is an old man.....he is spry and spunky and he's very active too. Boone is happy to chase after a toy or two and trot around our exercise yard. He is selective with his canine friends so if you have a dog, bring them in and we'll see how they do. Boone would also do best in a home with older children. This bubbly boy is so deserving of a great home where he will be loved and care for the way he deserves. File#26224 5/5/16
