Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet King. He was rescued by SPR from the county shelter. He was an owner surrender as he did not do so well with the homes 12 year old boy and his friends. He is big boy and weighs in over 100 pounds. We are working to bring some of that weight off safely and take some pressure off his body. He is in a medical foster with SPR and his foster says he definitely is used to being someone's dog he wants a master to bond to very much. He has let his foster groom him and bathe him, so that was a good test of his temperament. He is house broken and knows basic commands. He an older boy who's life been turned upside down and is overwhelmed and anxious. He is doing well in foster with dogs of all ages and sizes from a Chihuahuas, to an Akita, to a Border Collie. This boy just needs a soft landing to he can live out the remainder of his days on a soft bed with a loving family around him. As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet & greets with an approved application! Many of our volunteers juggle family, and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
