Casper's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Casper's Story...
Casper is a portly, tricolor, spoiled little boy, about 6 yrs old, and very sweet and affectionate. He has an eating disorder where he needs to be fed by himself. He was apparently deprived of having enough food at some time in his life and jealously guards his bowl. After he's done eating, he's fine. For this reason, he probably shouldn't be around small children. He's a sweet little guy and just loves everyone. He's good on a leash and would make a great walking companion. He was in a foster home, so we think he's probably house-trained. He's all vetted and ready for his new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casper, a Charlottesville Beagle/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Charlottesville, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Charlottesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlottesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlottesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlottesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
