Holly is a cute, affectionate and active young dog. She loves people, but should ideally only live with adults and older children. She can be dog aggressive, so definitely should be the only pet in the house. Her new owner(s) would ideally be experienced with bully breed dogs. She is very active and will need an owner(s) who can give her enough exercise to wear her out ! She needs a solid, securely fenced yard with a 6 ft privacy fence, as she can leap at least 4 ft. She is about 3 yrs old and 38 lbs, a great snuggle size; she's also good on a leash. She's been fully vetted, including spay, vaccines and deworming. She's very playful and loves her toys including old buckets, balls, kongs, antlers, beef bones and anything that can be thrown. She's sweet and playful, and will make a great pet for the right person.

More about this rescue
Blue Ridge Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, non-euthanizing rescue based in Charlottesville, VA. We provide a safe haven for our homeless pets while they are awaiting a permanent home. They are mostly young adults, but occassionally we'll have a senior that needs a retirement home! They are saved from high-kill shelters/pounds or from owner give-up situations. While in our care, they receive a health checkup, spay/neuter, all shots, de-worming and heartworm/tick disease testing. Please check our Pets List, and contact us for a personal meeting. If you don't see exactly what you are looking for, please email us and we'll help you find that perfect pet. If you can't adopt at this time, please consider volunteering with us or sponsoring an animal.
Please note: We are busy folks and don't have "regular business hours". For this reason, we don't show the dogs until an application has been submitted. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt a dog, but it does tell us that your interest in adopting an animal is serious. We thank you for being considerate of our time and efforts.
We do rescue cats/kittens when the need arises, but this is not our primary function. Please contact the regular Cat Rescue groups in your area for help.
