My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. My name is Bessie and I am a sweet little girl that was rescued in April from a shelter in North Carolina where I had been sitting on death row. I was adopted a few weeks later and lived in my new home for 3 months, but arrived back in Rescue on July 30 due to a medical issue in my family. I am not happy to have to start looking for another home all over again, but I don’t have any other choice. I am approx. 5-6 years old and weigh about 24 lbs. I get along well with kids, but would probably be happier being the only dog in the house. I am housetrained, but will have to get used to the doggie door again in Rescue. I have a calming energy and walk well on a leash. I love my treats and will be your best gal if you share some with me! I will be at Petsmart on Saturdays so that we can meet each other! If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels. I truly hope that my next home will be my forever home!!
