My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✰✰ GEORGE Male 1 – 2 yrs and AVAILABLE - for more photos of GEORGE please click http://norcalbcrescue.org/george_2016.html ✰✰

GEORGE is a one to two-year old Border Collie/Lab mix. He is a medium to large boy at 65 lbs. GEORGE has a very loving, sweet disposition and likes to be close with his person. If you are looking for a dog who loves to cuddle and will be your constant companion, GEORGE is your dog! He is a very laid back, mellow boy most of the time, but when it's time for a walk or when you have returned home from being gone he is all wiggles, smiles and happiness.

GEORGE has some basic training. He walks well on a leash and loads up into the car with no problem. He gets very excited about the car ride and wants to sit in your lap, so he needs to be crated when riding in a car. GEORGE will sleep in a crate at night, though he would much prefer to sleep on the floor next to your bed.

GEORGE gets along well with all dogs and ignores the cats at his foster home. GEORGE is a ‘people dog’ and seeks attention from any new person who walks in the room. GEORGE is fully potty trained and uses a doggy door when he needs to go out. GEORGE'S vet called him an 'old soul' as he is such a gentle and kind boy. You can see it in his eyes. He lives for love and attention. He also likes to chase a ball and go for walks. He is an all-around great dog!

GEORGE is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about GEORGE, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

GEORGE is being fostered in Folsom in Sacramento County, California.
