UNDER SAVING PAWS CARE - Meet Tessa. Tessa was rescued from the county shelter euthanasia list due to fear. She would stay to the very back of her kennel and not come forward. We could not think of her life ending in such fear, so of course we grabbed her and brought her to the rescue center. Tessa is still working on building her confidence and trusting people. She is a part of the center house dog pack so she has the ability to run around the center all day. She is gaining confidence from the other dogs. She uses the doggie door and will find some mischief if she is allowed to overnight. She loves her big kennel at night to sleep and enjoy a kong at bedtime! She does well with other dogs. The ideal home will be someone who is willing to come and visit Tessa often and earn her trust over time. She isn’t leash trained, so that will come with time.
