Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Phil
5 Year Old Neutered Male
Front Paw Declaw
Seal Point Himalayan
Phil came to us from a shelter where he had been dropped off as a stray. He had obviously been on the street for quite a while as he was covered in fleas and had ripped out most of the hair on his back and rear legs. He was thin as a rail and just as scrappy as he could be. His teeth were horrible, too. He was just starving and quickly made it known that ANY food was acceptable to him, even stealing broccoli and cauliflower from the table and reaching out to pull salmon off a dinner plate. He even took a chip and dipped it in guacamole! We quickly learned NEVER to leave the lid to the trash can open.
He also let us know right off the bat that other cats were bad, telling us no uncertain terms that he doesn't want to share anything with other cats by chasing and fighting with them, and not just play fighting but "trying to kill" fighting. Even though this tiny little guy is a front paw declaw, he sure knows how to bite other kitties and present us with mouthfuls of fur, so he got his own room (my bedroom) where he can reign supreme and sleep on me every night. Surprisingly, he doesn't have any problems with dogs: big dogs, little dogs, they don't phase him a bit.
Since he came to rescue, he has had a full blood panel done which was perfect, just a little bit anemic due to the flea infestation (all good now) and great organ functions. He had a dental and feels much better now. He still loves to eat and does little dances when his wet food is coming. He's not a big fan of dry food and prefers to have several small meals of wet food throughout the day. He is quite the talker and he will let you know if any of his meals are running late!
In summary, Phil needs a home without any other kitties. Dogs are OK, and he needs someone to be with him a lot so he doesn't get lonely and so there's someone to feed him throughout the day. A work from home or retired person would be perfect for him.
