Important Note

Buddy is best friends with Willy Nelson. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Our names are Buddy and Willy Nelson! We are a bonded duo who have been through a lot over the last two weeks . After our house went into foreclosure, our father got into a horrific accident and we were left in the house all alone for several days. Luckily, family members knew we were in there and contacted our friends at Road To Home Rescue for help .

We are currently in a VERY TEMPORARY foster home. Unfortunately, we have had either very little training or the fact that we were abandoned for several days in the house and forced to go to the bathroom on the floor forced us to regress . We need a VERY DEDICATED, PATIENT, and UNDERSTANDING foster or adopter to work with us and take us into their home. It would be great if you worked from home, were retired, or had a flexible schedule in order to help us become the best dogs we can be. We are GREAT with other dogs and people . In fact, we won't leave our humans side as we are so afraid to lose someone else we love.

About Road to Home Rescue Support - Long Island, NY

About Our Rescue Group...

Road to Home was started to be able to focus on animals in need and to provide support to local rescues. After years of working in shelters and with rescues, we decided starting our own rescue was the best way to do what we do best! We are a 100 percent non-profit and 100 percent of the money we raise goes towards animals in need. Our 5013c is pending. Here’s what we will focus on:

-Providing guidance and support for re-homing an animal.
-Providing medical attention, training, spay/neuter, and food/supplies to a homeless animal.
-Pulling an animal from a euthanasia list or from an unsafe situation and placing them in a foster or permanent home.
-Working with rescues and shelters to facilitate adoptions by doing home checks, adoption applications, and networking to find foster or permanent homes for animals in need.
-Working with rescues and shelters to coordinate adoption events, food drives, and fundraisers.
-Raising money through a Chip-In to help specific dogs with training, medical needs, and adoption.
-Raising funds that can be allocated to specific needs of other rescues and shelters (including medical expenses, training expenses, food, and transport) as well as pledging money to animals in jeopardy of euthanasia.
