My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Liza is a one year old (just turned!) Great Dane mix that was surrendered by her owners when they couldn't pay her medical bills.

She is a sweet and very energetic girl that would make a great running partner with all her youthful enthusiasm! Her foster family is working with her on basic obedience / leash training and that would need to continue in her new home. She is currently being fostered with an 8 yr old who she does well with, but her exuberance would probably be to much for younger kids. We do think she would get along with a larger male that lets her be in charge, but has decided the smaller dogs are not her jam.

Liza is spayed, house trained, crate trained, current on vaccinations and ready for her new family!

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
