Woof, woof! My name is Onyx and I am 1 of 7 beagle mix pups that is available for adoption. My momma, Jewel, was found as a stray and rescued from a shelter in South Carolina. She gave birth to us in a lovely foster home on June 11. Our foster mom gave us all our beautiful names and affectionately called us ‘Gemstones’. We stayed in our foster home until we were old enough to make the trek up to NJ with a wonderful PABR volunteer on July 27. We will be spayed or neutered and microchipped soon, and then will be available for adoption. Some of us should even be ready to go to our new homes on August 13! We will be up-to-date with vaccinations for our age, but will require 1-2 more sets of vaccinations within the next month or two.
Our mom is a tiny beagle, only weighing 18 lbs. We never met our dad, but we think he was a lab. It looks like we will be bigger pups, possibly weighing about 40-45 lbs. when we are full grown. We are cute puppies with lots of puppy energy! We like to play with each other and have fun during the day, but we also like to snuggle up with each other when our energy levels run low. We will need to be taught some basic puppy skills so that we can grow up to be well-mannered adult doggies. Our ideal homes would be with people who have some time during the day to work with us. Right now, we have tiny bladders and will need to be taken outside for potty breaks more frequently, so please keep that in mind when you inquire about us.
Adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and we want to be permanent members of your family when you adopt us. In return, you will receive lots of puppy kisses, tail wags, and love!
