Hi! My name is Elliott. I got caught in a terrible storm and was trying to enter a store but I was too scared to walk through the doors. Some nice people were leaving the store and felt sorry for me so they trapped me, took me home, and pulled all the leaves and debris out of my fur from the terrible scary storm. It was obvious that I was an outdoor cat because I was a little afraid of humans. I take a while to warm up to you but when I do, I am a little lap kitty! I am very vocal and purr very loudly! My foster family have other cats and I like to try to play with them, but they are older and I am all kitten! I do like the big dog though, and she likes me. If you have a lap for me to sit in, promise to keep me inside, and don’t like getting caught in the rain, I might be the one for you! I am about a year old, up to date on vaccines, FIV -, chipped ,and neutered.
We are an IRS certified, 501(c)(3) non-profit charity (so all donations are tax-deductible) and all of our foster homes are licensed by the state of Missouri. Because we are an all-volunteer charity, all donations go directly to helping animals in one way or another.
Our purpose is to promote interest and participation in the rescue, foster, and adoption of animals from area pounds and from owners who can no longer take care of their animals due to age/illness/death. We strive to match animals in need with committed adoptive homes. In addition, we are strong advocates of spaying or neutering your pets. When funds permit, we sometimes provide help for those who can't afford to have their pets spayed or neutered.
Our first priority is to rescue dogs and cats from the pounds, particularly those that are to be euthanized soon. As space allows, we also accept strays that are turned in by people who rescued them from the streets.
