I am already neutered and housetrained.

Leonardo's Story...
Breed: Purebred rex
Size: Probably will end up around 5-6 pounds
DOB: 5/2/2016
Reason in Rescue: These babies were part of the very large seizure in Beaver county from a breeder that was keeping her bunnies in filthy conditions. These guys were the grossest, filthiest babies I have ever seen. We believe they were on a bottom cage and were being constantly peed and pooped on :(
Personality: Despite their start, these guys are uber friendly. They are crazy babies and love to run around and play :) They are just really nice boys. We are working on their litter box habits and we know when they are neutered in mid August, they will learn very quickly. They are just awesome little boys!
Friends: These babies can be adopted out in same sex pairs, but we cannot guarantee they will get along when they get older.
Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2'). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (, and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. Suggested adoption donation is $60 which includes their neuter and microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leonardo, a Edinburg Rex was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rex for sale in Edinburg, or seeking a Rex from a breeder in Edinburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edinburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edinburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rex breeders who help with Rex rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edinburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
