COURTESY POST: Please contact owner directly at or 817.689.4907 for more information about this dog. Jojo is a gorgeous black and white Shepherd mix who is 7 years old and weighs 60 pounds. She gets along well with adults and children. Jojo is a rescue dog and is wary of strangers, but warms up to people after a good sniff and head rub. She also socializes well with most dogs, but she has shown aggression towards some dogs (no experience with cats). She has been trained with basic commands - but will need reinforcement. Jojo loves to run, fetch, and cuddle. She does not have any health issues other than an ear infection. Our family rescued Jojo 7 years ago and she has been a wonderful family dog. We really hate to see her go, but after adding a newborn and other work responsibilities, we are not able to provide the love and time that she requires. Please contact me at 817.689.4907 or

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

About Education & Animal Rescue Society (EARS)

About Our Rescue Group...

Education and Animal Rescue Society is an all volunteer, non-profit Texas corporation whose mission is to educate the public about issues concerning animal behavior and proper care for pets including an emphasis on vaccinations, spay and neutering, and nutrition. Further, EARS is committed to finding homes for unwanted animals that would otherwise perish in shelters. EARS keeps all of its animals in homes with volunteer foster families where the animals are loved and treated like a part of the family until the right permanent home is found.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Goodsearch will donate a penny to EARS virtually every time you search the internet!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter, as all of our rescue animals are living with foster families in private homes. You can meet one of our animals by appointment once your adoption application had been processed and initially approved (final approval occurs right before the adoption is complete). Also, EARS has Meet and Greet Days at various local venues in the Dallas area. We will post the dates and times of the Meet and Greet Days on this website. Meet and Greet Days are an opportunity for you to meet some of our animals. Unfortunately, not all of our animals make it to every Meet and Greet Day so please contact us at adoptions@earstexas.orgto check if your four-legged friend of choice will be available to meet you. (We do not do any onsite adoptions.)

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please email us at for an application and more information. Since we are an all volunteer group, please be patient with us in responding to your inquiries. Thank you for your interest in our adoption program!
