Macy's Story...
Being Surrendered To Shelter.......HER LIFE IS IN DANGER

Brooklyn, NY

Macy is 2 year old female who was adopted from a municipal shelter about a year ago. Her owner is in her mid 80s and no longer able to care for her. Macy is being returned unless an adopter is found.

Macy is currently living in a screened in patio where a relative is feeding her daily. This is a very temporary arrangement since the care taker is highly allergic. We have limited time to place her, so please share her story far and wide.

Macy is sweet and submissive but initially can come off shy. Warms up once she knows her human and appreciates affection. She is cat friendly but has not been exposed to dogs. If you are looking for a forever companion, please consider gorgeous Macy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Wantagh Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wantagh, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wantagh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wantagh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wantagh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wantagh paves the way for another one to be saved.
