I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Rimmy's Info...

I am already neutered and up to date with shots.

Rimmy's Story...
Rimmy the chi/doxie mix is on the market for a new home sadly because his owner had to go into assisted living. Rimmy is 5 years in age and weighs under 15 pounds. Crate trained fully! (still working on housetraining). Rimmy would do best in a home without smaller kids, he is a little shy. He does warm up to his person and so much so that he will snuggle right on up with you under the covers or be your #1 lap dog! If you are looking for a snuggle partner - then this could be your guy!

We recommend and encourage you to complete an application at http://henricohumane.org/adopt/application-for-dogs/ before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email dogs@henricohumane.org.

Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rimmy, a Richmond Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
