BONDED PAIR

~~Azalea and Ivy, each less than 5 lbs are two of four Chihuahuas dumped at a rural well site with little hope of being able to survive. They obviously were from a puppy mill which no longer needed them and were just abandoned to die or be eaten by coyotes. Loaded with ticks and fleas, these girls were trapped and rescued by Chewy’s Hope and taken to the vet. Ivy was heartworm + and received treatment. Azalea has a heart murmur. Both girls were spayed and their health restored in a loving home before they were put up for adoption. Unfortunately, we do not know the fate of their companions, but our rescue continued for weeks to find them to no avail. But, these little girls are healthy and looking for that special home together.

These two precious girls need a home where they can learn that all humans are not bad. Ivy is sweet and cuddly. She loves to watch tv in her foster mom's lap. Azalea is still not completely sure if people are good. She needs patience and love but is a very sweet girl. These babies were dumped to fend for themselves. They deserve a good home where they can be loved.

About Chewy's Hope

About Our Rescue Group...

Chewy’s Hope Rescue is a Non-Profit Organization, with 501(c)(3) status, that is concentrated on saving the lives of adoptable Texas shelter dogs, specifically Wise County Shelter dogs.

Our goal is to save death row dogs of all sizes and all breeds by placing them into loving, forever homes in the state of Texas and to work with other Rescue Organizations nationwide to accomplish our goals. We are an all-volunteer, foster home based, nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Boyd, TX. We do not have a physical shelter. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases and at adoption events/expos.

We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering.

Chewy’s Hope Rescue is not taking public found strays or owner surrenders at this time. We do offer assistance with networking resources. At this time we feel that our services and skills will be best applied if we prioritize the rescue of dogs on death row.
