Beautiful Mysta Aims to Please
Female, young, black and tan, medium-sized German Shepherd Good with kids: Yes Good with cats: Unknown
Beautiful Mysta is about 3 years old, and what a sweetheart! She’s quickly become a volunteer favorite. She came from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. But we can't figure out why her owner never came for her. What a sweetheart! She LOVES people and is incredibly friendly and loving. Mysta is a little shy, so she'll need an owner that can show her lots of love and give her the confidence she needs. Mysta is good with other dogs, though she does tend to guard her food, so she’ll likely need to be fed separately. We don't know whether she is good with cats. This girl will make a fantastic hiking, running or walking partner as she’s young and really wants to please her people.
As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient; sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.

About Saving Paws

About Our Rescue Group...

"Saving Paws" rescue specializes in German Shepherd Dogs and Belgian Malinois. These are the two primary breeds used in military and law enforcement service worldwide. We also partner with other rescues and can assist in locating your perfect pet.

"Saving Paws" is a registered 501c3 non-profit corporation. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Donations and adoption fees offset the high cost of veterinary care, food, boarding and numerous other expenses. By adopting from “Saving Paws", you become our partner in the rescue. You can make a difference in both financial contribution and working to save deserving animals. Adopting a rescue dog saves two lives. The K-9 friend that you adopted and another that can be brought in by the space created. Open your heart and adopt today.

"Saving Paws" primarily obtains dogs from local "High Kill" shelters. We are often there last hope. Our adoptions have gone on become service dogs, search and rescue dogs, sport dogs, AKC title holders and of course cherished family pets and protectors. Please consider a rescue dog and give these wonderful animals a second chance.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Saving Paws is a registered 501c3 not for profit corporation. All personnel are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Donations of food, supplies and dollars always appreciated and allow us to help more dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Currently our resources do not allow one central facility for our operations. We have many dogs in foster care and board others at the Canine Country Club. They are located in Phoenix, Arizona. All adoptions are by appointment. We do our best to be available and accommodate your schedule. However, being volunteer, we ask for your patience and assistance in all matters. A minor inconvenience is a small price to pay for helping a dog in need.

"Saving Paws" also participates in numerous adoption events year around. We will post these to our website and to this venue as they are scheduled.

Our Adoption Process...

"Saving Paws" works individually with each potential adopter to assure a good match and successful placement. The specific adoption process can vary and includes:

* Telephone and or email consultation.
* "Meet & Greet" with selected animals. We request that all family members and pets be present.
* Adoption application and reference check.
* Home visit
* Completion of the adoption process.
* Any additional follow up or assistance required.

Adoption fees and donations offset the extremely high cost of veterinary care, food, boarding and numerous other expenses.
