My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Apollo, and I am in search of my forever home. I would love to have a fur sibling similar to my size as I love playing with and loving on my foster siblings. I am 7 years old and came to DREAM Dachshund Rescue as an owner surrender. I am the outdoors type as I love going on walks and hanging out in the backyard so an active family would best suit me. I also love meeting new people when I'm out and about my neighborhood. My foster mom wants you to know that I am "precious, precious, precious," and I will be a prize to any family. I have a very laid back temperament and love to snuggle with my humans and foster fur siblings. I am also potty trained and crate trained. I am the total package!

If you are interested in adopting Apollo, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Apollo 's adoption fee is $350. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Apollo will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
