Red Rover's Story...
Hi, I’m Red Rover Red Rover and I want to come over. If I look familiar, it’s because I am. I was adopted a while back but my family’s situation changed and they couldn’t keep me. Bummer! Now I’m looking for a new family – which shouldn’t be hard because I am, all modesty aside, just about the most personable cat you will ever meet. I like to stare at my people with this knowing expression that says “I understand every word you are saying.” Which I do. Of course, being a cat, I would never, ever tell your secrets so feel free to confide in me. I’m friendly, playful and cuddly, but not needy. In other words, I’m just about the perfect cat. Call Helping PAWS and tell them you want them to “Send Red Rover right over!”

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red Rover, a Washburn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Washburn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Washburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
