Hey – my name is Ziggy (aka Sigfried) and I am the boy Maine Coon mix of your dreams.
Check me out: I am a handsome, classic Maine Coon black tabby mix kitty. Black tabbies are very, very rare. I am quite large – 19.70 lbs. I am around 2 years old, so there is a good chance that I am going to get bigger, maybe a lot bigger (more to love). I have the classic Maine Coon build and fur (closer to hair) combined with stunning green eyes, a plume tail, and a developing Maine Coon ruff. FYI folks – Maine Coons can take up to 3 years to fully mature (so I am still just a kid) and to fully develop the Maine Coon ruff and double coat (so chances are there is plenty more fur/hair coming when it gets cold).
But I am more than just plain gorgeous. I also have the wonderful Maine Coon personality. I am a sweet, HUGE, little boy who is a combination of size, gentleness, playfulness, silliness, love, concern and affection. Maine Coons never have a bad “fur” day. And I am firmly convinced the world was invented for me to play in. But, as a Maine Coon mix, I know my life cannot be complete until I find my own special person(s). That is the way it works. Maine Coons, like dogs bond with their owners. That bond lasts a lifetime. I really am one of a kind. So if you think you might be my special person, please don’t hesitate. Don’t miss our chance. Ziggy’s Story – Ziggy was rescued from a Bay Are shelter by a Purebred Plus volunteer who saw him posted online. She knew this beautiful Maine Coon mix cat had to be rescued. In foster care with other cats, Ziggy initially was reserved and probably afraid. He explored, but did not hide. He finally jumped onto his foster Mom’s lap, and launched into purring, kneading, rolling for tummy rubs and giving head butts while making little mew, mew sounds. He was so happy, he rolled off her lap and fell off the couch. All of the affection he had stored up since he lost his home spilled out. But no worries, he still has enough left to last a life time. Since then, so long as he gets and can give his daily doses of love, he is a happy, playful cat and life is good. What more can a Maine Coon mix cat ask for?
Ziggy was with other cats in foster and the shelter. He also would be fine as a solo cat, with a possible cat addition in the future. Large as he is, he still has some growing up to do. Ziggy has perfect litter box habits, uses scratching posts, and knows what the word NO means. Naturally, he eats anything you give him and licks the plate clean.
Ziggy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, FELV/FIV negative, dewormed, microchipped, and with flea prevention applied.
