Missy
6 yr -female Black and White Maine Coon
Missy is a big girl weighing in at 15 pounds! Of course, all her beautiful black and white fluffy coat makes her look even bigger. Big is beautiful when it comes to Maine Coon girls.
She is the sweetest, most quiet, "little" cat. With her soft, thick fur and beautiful markings complete with a little black dot on her nose, she is very striking. She is fastidious and keeps herself very well-groomed.
Missy's story is a sad one. She came into foster via an elderly woman who was dying of cancer. She could no longer care for Missy. Originally, her owner found Missy at a shelter where she came in as a stray, anemic due to flea infestation and also pregnant at a very young age. She was cared for and vetted and then she was adopted by her elderly owner. She enjoyed a beautiful life in a wonderful home. Her owner had absolutely no family, but had hospice care an a hired caregiver for round the clock care. Missy's PPCR foster mom stepped in so Missy would not end up at the shelter again. We are so happy to help this special girl.
Missy has assimilated very well into her foster home complete with dogs, cats and foster kittens. She has adapted very quickly to her new environment. The first day she walked around and softly meowed. By the next day, she had found her favorite spot to sleep: a dining room chair. Somehow she knows she is not in a permanent forever home yet. She is not a real lap cat, but that may change with less competition for her foster mom's lap. She is very sweet and loves to be with her humans. Are you ready to take this girl into your heart?
