My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET DOZER!! Dozer is a handsome 1.5-2 year old black lab who is your definition of a typical lab. Dozer ended up at the shelter after being picked up as a stray, but no one came to claim him and his time was running out. LFS came to get him just in time. Dozer is a bundle of energy, but being locked up in a cage at the shelter for a while, Dozer's energy has built up and he was just raring to go, so we can't really blame him. He could likely use a refresher coarse on obedience, but he seems to be very ball/toy motivated, so it shouldn't be a problem.
When Dozer first arrived to LFS, he had an ear hematoma, but our vet has since repaired it and he is recovering well. We don't think Dozer even noticed anything happened, as you can see from the pictures, because he's still playing fetch with the cone of shame on!! He only has to wear it for a little while longer, and then he'll be a "free" man.
Dozer is such a happy guy who loves to run around and play fetch. He would love a family with a fenced-in backyard or someone who could take him for long walks or runs. We really feel that he would do best with an active family who can give him the exercise he needs.
Unfortunately, we are also in desperate need of fosters, so Dozer has to stay in boarding at the vet's office ☹️, which isn't helping his pent up energy. Once he has a chance to get out and about, I have faith that he will settle down well.
