Wookie's Story...

Wookie was turned into the shelter without an owner in sight. A little on the shy side initially, Wookie does enjoy the company of other dogs and people. He warms up quickly so we think he will benefit from continued socialization in his foster home. Wookie is learning the ropes in his foster home which includes daily outings and walks, and some basic obedience. He is a very sweet and docile dog and will make an excellent forever furry companion.

Wookie is 2 years old and weighs 28 lbs. His adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, registered microchip, vaccines up to date and deworming.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wookie, a Irvine Cockapoo/Wheaten Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockapoo/Wheaten Terrier for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Cockapoo/Wheaten Terrier dog from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockapoo/Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Cockapoo/Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
