Mufasa's Story...
URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED!!! Hi! I am Mufasa. I am a 6 year old Great Dane. I came to Paw Prints in the Sand after being abandoned by my previous owner. I love to cuddle, go on walks and just hang out. I have some eye issues that went untreated for years by my previous owner. I just had corrective surgery for entropion (on 2/10). I am a very playful, affectionate, loving boy, but need someone who is confident and capable of handling me. I'm a 140lbs! I tend to bond easily with my caretaker. I love to cuddle up next to you on the couch. I can be selective with men, but I've been fine with a proper introduction. I lived with other dogs previously, but I have not interacted with any since I was rescued him due my eye issues. I love car rides! If you would like more information on me, please email my rescue at adoptions@pawprintsinthesand.org. I promise that I am a good boy and just need a place to rest my big ole head for a bit. xo

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mufasa, a Newport Beach Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
