Mufasa's Story...
Hi! I am Mufasa a 6 year old Great Dane I have lived together with my brother Toro for most of our lives. We recently joined Paw Prints in the Sand after being abandoned at a boarding facility. We have been shuffled around in the past few months following our family's separation. We are in current search of an experienced and capable foster(s) or adopter(s) that understands how to (and is capable of) dealing with certain fear issues that are common in Danes that have lacked stability. We can be separated. Please contact the rescue for more information on our temperament and needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mufasa, a Newport Beach Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
