Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Nilla and I'm a beagle-mix and Southern Belle from the Carolinas. The nice ladies that found me named me after the Vanilla Wafers that I was willing to eat for them. I must’ve been wandering around for some time because I was very thin when the ladies found me. Penny Angels agreed to rescue me and sent me to a foster home down South. The larger dogs in my first foster home intimidated me, so I traveled up to NJ to another place that is a better fit for me while I search for my forever home.
A true lady never reveals her age OR weight, but I will admit to being approx. 5 years old and weighing about 30 lbs. Thanks to the kindness (and food) from my foster parents, I have come closer to a healthy weight. I am an easy going and loving gal, but I do tend to fawn over the menfolk. I get along well with the 4 cats in my foster home and am working on getting to know other dogs. I know my manners, (sit, stay, and wait), but still need a bit of polish there. I leave the critters alone on my walks, but will defend my yard if they trespass.
I will go in my crate at bedtime without argument if I'm in the bedroom with you, but I do pout when I have to be in there when you leave for work or the store. I'm not particular on toys. My 2 wishes include finding my forever home and getting my paws on some human food! Finding my forever home is definitely at the top of my list, but the human food smells so good and I really want to try it… even if it is just one time! Will you give me a home (and a taste of some yummy human food)? I can’t always be at Petsmart on Saturdays, but if you are interested in meeting me, I’m sure that my foster parents can work something out. Are you ready to share your home with a nice gal that is a Southern Belle at heart? If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels.
